PUBLIC NOTICE – R.M. of Prairie Lakes Dog Licensing Required – Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes The Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes reminds all residents that every dog over six (6) months of age must have a valid municipal dog licence, as required under Animal Control By-Law No. 2, 2026 (s.11). Licensing helps ensure responsible pet ownership and allows lost dogs to be quickly reunited with their families. Licence Fee • $5.00 per dog (annual licence) per spay or neutered dog Where to Purchase Your Licence License's must be purchased in person at: Municipal Office – Belmont 211 3rd Street South, Belmont, Manitoba
Office Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed from noon to 1:p.m) Closed statutory holidays Additional Requirements • Dogs must wear their municipal tag when off the owner’s property (s.11.3). • Service dogs: licence fee waived with proof of specialized training (s.11.2). • Dogs must not run at large (s.7).
